Waiver Wire--Week 8
Tre Watson & Khalfani Muhammad, RBs-California
The Bears’ run a lot of plays in their fast-paced offense and both Watson and Muhammad have carried the ball 44 times each over the past two weeks. Watson has rushed for 288 yards and scored four touchdowns, while Muhammad has rushed for 313 yards and scored one touchdown. Watson is more valuable in PPR formats as he has totaled eight receptions for 73 yards over the past two games.
Damarea Crockett, RB-Missouri
Crockett carried the ball 29 times for 156 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday’s 51-45 loss to Middle Tennessee, and that was a follow-up to his Week 7 performance against Florida, when he rushed for 145 yards on 14 carries.
Braeden West, RB-SMU
Xavier Jones is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury and West has carried the ball 40 times for 239 yards and two touchdowns over the past two weeks.
Josh Knight, WR-Marshall
Knight was one of our Week 8 Sleepers as he has developed into quarterback Chase Litton’s top receiver, catching 19 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown over the past two weeks.
Antoine Porter, WR-Eastern Michigan
Consistency at the receiver position is difficult to find, so do not overlook the fact that Porter has averaged six receptions, 68 yards, and a touchdown over the past three games.
Jerome Lane, WR-Akron
Lane virtually disappeared after starting quarterback Thomas Woodson was sidelined with a shoulder injury and many fantasy owners dispatched the junior receiver, but Woodson’s return in Week 8 led to Lane’s reemergence, as he caught seven passes for 90 yards and a TD.
Ventell Bryant, WR-Temple
While Jahad Thomas and Ryquell Armstead have formed an awesome 1-2 punch on the ground, Bryant has quietly hauled in 16 receptions for 279 yards over the past three weeks.
Keke Coutee, WR-Texas Tech
Coutee was another Week 8 Sleeper and now has two 100-yard games in the past three weeks and has scored a touchdown in three of his last four games.
