Weekly Observations—Week 2


We addressed the Mike Warren situation last week, but it seems some details emerged in HC Matt Campbell's Week 2 postgame press conference.  After questions were raised about Warren's playing time, or lack thereof, Campbell responded by saying that Warren has to learn how to practice well and learn how to be accountable on and off the field.  He also mentioned that there were a couple of times where Warren had an opportunity to make plays and he did not make those plays.  So, Campbell has called him out and it will be interesting to see what happens from here.

If you have DeShone Kizer, good for you because you probably got a steal on draft day.  Had Malik Zaire not been in the picture, I'm fairly confident Kizer would have been in our preseason Top 15 and he may finish 2016 as a Top 10 fantasy quarterback.  

Sticking with the topic of draft day steals, I need to mention Louisiana Tech's Trent Taylor.  We had Taylor listed as a preseason Top 10 receiver and in every draft I participated in this preseason, he slipped considerably.  Hopefully, many of you drafted him because he seems to be on his way to another 90-plus catch season.

Three players I am expecting to make a move in the next couple of weeks are ..........
