Weekly Observations—Week 3
..............and while on the topic of bad fits, I don't like Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma. They're built to win in the Big 12 with their current style of play, but we've seen them struggle against Houston and Ohio State. Both of those teams were more physical than the Sooners in their head-to-head matchups. OU should be playing a more physical style of offense. It's not like they cannot get the recruits. They need to give Perine and Mixon a minimum of 35-40 carries per game and get back to a run-first mentality.
It seems like Oregon RB Royce Freeman's injury was not as serious as we thought, but I do not see him playing in this week's game.
Some reports are suggesting that TCU WR KaVontae Turpin's injury is season ending. Tough break on such a promising start to the 2016 season. It could be hit or miss with their receivers moving forward. RB Kyle Hicks and QB Kenny Hill should still continue to produce.
