Waiver Wire—Week 10

As we head into the fantasy playoffs, waiver wire pickings are slim, but at this point in the season, many fantasy owners are just looking for a missing piece to their puzzle or an opportunity to steal a player from their league rivals.
Brent Stockstill, QB-Middle Tennessee
Stockstill returned from a shoulder injury and played for the first time since the Blue Raiders’ Week 2 win at Syracuse.  His numbers reflect that he wasn’t efficient, but he was able to throw three TD passes in a 30-3 win against UTEP.  If fantasy owners dropped Stockstill a few weeks ago, he’ll be the hottest quarterback on the waiver wire this week.

Nick Starkel, QB-Texas A&M
Starkel has already been named the Aggies starting quarterback for the team’s Week 11 matchup against New Mexico.  In Saturday’s loss to Auburn, Starkel went 11-of-22 for 184 yards and two touchdowns in relief of starter Kellen Mond.

Johnny Stanton, QB-UNLV
UNLV is 2-0 with Stanton at quarterback, and at 4-5, the Rebels have a realistic chance at earning a bowl bid.  With matchups against BYU, New Mexico, and Nevada over the next three weeks, Stanton could upgrade rosters that need help at QB2 positions.

Matt Colburn, RB-Wake Forest
Wake Forest needs guys to step up on offense now that WR Greg Dortch has been lost for the year due to injury.  In Saturday’s loss at Notre Dame Colburn rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown, which gave him back-to-back 100-yard games heading into Week 11.
Scotty Washington, WR-Wake Forest
In the past two weeks, Washington has caught 14 passes for 217 yards and may be the next-best option at receiver now that Greg Dorthch has been lost for the year.

Marquise Brown, WR-Oklahoma
Brown has three 100-yard games this season, but his fantasy production has been hit-or-miss.  However, he has caught at least five passes in three consecutive games, has topped 125 yards receiving in two of the past three games, and has scored three touchdowns in the past two weeks.  Brown’s surging numbers indicate a growing confidence QB Baker Mayfield has in his sophomore receiver.
