Deep Sleepers—Week 2
If you play in a deep league and have matchup dilemmas or a bye week issue, take a look at these Week 2 Deep Sleepers (Formerly Emergency Starters). This list consists of players that can provide a one-week boost based on their respective matchup.
Alec Morris, North Texas v Bethune-Cookman
·Morris should execute much better in the Mean Green’s Week 2 matchup vs. Bethune Cookman.
Billy Bahl, Miami (OH) v Eastern Illinois
·Bahl played well in Miami’s loss at Iowa in Week 1 and could put up surprising numbers on Saturday.
Bart Houston, Wisconsin v Akron
·Houston threw the ball well against the LSU secondary and should have better passing numbers vs. Akron.
Hylek Foster, Marshal v Morgan State
·Foster may have been forgotten about after Marshall’s Week 1 bye.
Jeffrey Wilson, North Texas v Bethune-Cookman
·Not only will Wilson get yards on the ground, but he’s a nice commodity in PPR leagues.
George Payne, Southern Miss v Savannah State
·Payne should get more than a handful of carries against an overmatched Savannah State defense.
Derrius Guice, LSU v Jacksonville State
·Leonard Fournette is a game-time decision, which means he’ll likely sit v Jacksonville State.
Marcus Kemp, Hawaii v Tennessee-Martin
·Kemp has been consistent throughout the first two weeks of the season.
Austin Duke, Charlotte v Elon
·Duke and RB Kalif Phillips should be a nice 1-2 punch this weekend.
Carlos Henderson, Louisiana Tech v South Carolina State
·Henderson may have the most fantasy upside of any player on the list.
J’Mon Moore, Missouri v Eastern Michigan
·Moore seems to be QB Drew Lock’s go-to receiver.
Aaron Peck, Fresno State v Sacramento State
·Peck posted nice fantasy numbers at Nebraska last week and could have a bigger Week 2.
