Deep Sleepers—Week 8

If you play in a deep league and have matchup dilemmas or a bye week issue, take a look at these Week 8 Deep Sleepers. This list consists of players that can provide a one-week boost based on their respective matchup.

Quarterback
Nick Fitzgerald, Mississippi State @ Kentucky
Fitzgerald could do more damage on the ground than through the air against a defense giving up 189.0 rushing yards per game.
Tyrrell Pigrome, Maryland v Michigan State
If Hills is sidelined again, Pigrome will start against a Spartans defense that is giving up 30.0 points per game.
David Washington, Old Dominion @ Western Kentucky
If the Hilltoppers race out to a lead, Washington may have to put the ball in the air often.

Running Backs
Khalfani Muhammad, Cal v Oregon
A season-ending injury to Vic Enwere should result in more carries for Muhammad and Tre Watson.
Davon Jones, Boston College v Syracuse
The Eagles have been easing Jones into the offense and this could be a breakout game for him.
Aeris Williams, Mississippi State @ Kentucky
Williams could get a lot of work if Brandon Holloway has to miss another game.

Receivers
Todd Boyd, Georgia State @ v Tennessee-Martin
After catching nine passes for 122 yards and a TD last week, Boyd could be the sneakiest play of Week 8.
Keke Coutee, Texas Tech v Oklahoma
Coutee should get more looks with Dylan Cantrell out with an injury.
Terren Encalade, Tulane at Tulsa
If Tulane has to air it out at Tulsa, Encalade is the Green Wave’s top receiver and he already has two 100-yard games this season.
