Deep Sleepers—Week 9

If you play in a deep league and have matchup dilemmas or a bye week issue, take a look at these Week 9 Deep Sleepers. This list consists of players that can provide a one-week boost based on their respective matchup.

Keller Chryst, Stanford at Arizona

The Cardinal will try to jumpstart a stagnant offense with a change at quarterback.

Dallas Davis, South Alabama v Georgia State

Georgia State does have a Top 20 pass defense, but the Jaguars will be tough at home.

Kevin Ellison, Georgia Souther at Appalachian State

Ellison may not have to split time with Favian Upshaw, who is questionable with an injury.

Running Backs

Johnston White, Arkansas State v UL Monroe

The Warhawks should see a lot of Warren Wand and Johnston White.

Xavier Johnson, South Alabama v Georgia State

Johnson has only topped 60 yards once this season, but he has scored five TDs in the past three games.

Darrell Henderson, Memphis v Tulsa

Henderson should get quite a few touches if Memphis’ matchup against Tulsa turns into a track meet.

Tim Cook, Oregon State v Washington State

Cook will be the Beavers’ lead back if Ryan Nall is sidelined again with a foot injury.

De’Mornay Pierson-El, Nebraska at Clemson

Pierson-El had his best game of the season last week vs Purdue and the Cornhuskers will need him against Wisconsin.

Dennis Andrews, Middle Tennessee at FIU

Andrews has caught at least four passes in three of the last four games and has scored a TD in three straight games.

Lucky Jackson, Western Kentucky at FAU

Jackson should get extensive playing time with Nacarius Fant unlikely to play.
