Freshmen to Watch in 2015

  • Josh Rosen, UCLA—Rosen was the nation’s No.1 quarterback recruit and his timing couldn’t have been any better with Brett Hundley moving on to the NFL.  Having a running back like Paul Perkins behind him will certainly help ease the freshman’s transition.
Running Backs
  • Markell Jones, PUR—The Boilermakers lost their top two running backs from last season, Akeem Hunt and Raheem Mostert, but replace them with Indiana’s Mr. Football, who rushed for a single-season state record 3,536 yards and 60 touchdowns last year.
  • Christian Kirk, A&M—While Josh Reynolds (knee) sat out the entire spring and Speedy Noil (personal) missed the last two weeks of practice, Kirk was a spring standout in the slot.  The freshman’s work ethic and physical ability gives him a legitimate shot to earn playing time on Saturdays this fall.
