2015 Sleepers

  • Jacoby Brissett, North Carolina State—We were all over Brissett last year because of his easy schedule in Weeks 1-4 and that happened to be his best four-game stretch of the 2014 season.  2015 should not be much different as the Wolfpack face Troy, Eastern Kentucky, Old Dominion, and South Alabama to start the year.

Running Backs

  • Devontae Booker, Utah—Booker is a guy we really like this year, which is why we have him ranked in our Preseason Top 15, but he has Top 10 potential.  The senior back has proven that he can shoulder the offensive load and he gets stronger as the game wears on.  Only once in 2014 did Booker total 20-plus carries in the game and fail to reach the century mark, but he did post 95 yards and a TD in that contest at Colorado.  Also, his versatility was on display late in the year, as he racked up 30 receptions in the final five games of 2014.  Expect Booker to get 20-30 carries per game in 2015 and make a push at 2,000 total yards.

  • Steven Mitchell, USC—Mitchell suffered a torn ACL during his freshman season and he struggled to return to form in 2014.  In spring camp, the redshirt sophomore was impressive, displaying electrifying moves and dazzling speed, and he could be starting in the slot by the time the Trojans take the field in Week 1 against Arkansas State.
