SCHEDULE ANALYSIS

Schedule analysis can be a useful tool when preparing for your upcoming fantasy draft.  How many times during a draft do you stop to check a player’s schedule before finalizing your pick or compare schedules of Player A versus Player B?  After scanning every FBS schedule for 2014, we created this piece to help you save time.  The schedule analysis identifies several teams with possible fantasy roadblocks as well as teams with fantasy sweet spots.  Don’t hesitate to adjust a player’s ranking based on the following information because schedule analysis is not only valuable, but necessary to college fantasy football success.

The Roadblocks

Maryland—Welcome to the Big Ten, Maryland!  The conference’s two new additions didn’t receive any favors in the scheduling process.
The Slate:  Oct.25-@ Wisconsin; Nov.1-@ Penn State; Nov.8-BYE; Nov.15-vs Michigan State; Nov.22-@ Michigan

UCLA—QB Brett Hundley should be rock-solid throughout the fantasy regular season, but the Bruins’ late-season schedule is cause for concern during the fantasy playoffs.
The Slate:  Nov.15-BYE; Nov.22-vs USC; Nov.28-vs Stanford

The Sweet Spots

Florida—It wouldn’t be shocking to see RB Kelvin Taylor selected a little earlier than we project given the Gators’ soft schedule to open the 2014 campaign.
The Slate:  Aug.30-vs Idaho; Sep.6-vs Eastern Michigan; Sep.13-vs Kentucky

Texas A&M—Will Kyle Allen be the starter when the Aggies open the 2014 season?  We’re not sure, but we do know that A&M’s schedule provides a three-game stretch after the opener at South Carolina to provide fantasy riches.
The Slate:  Sep.6-vs Lamar; Sep.13-vs Rice; Sep.20-@ SMU
