Start/Bench—Week 3

DeShone Kizer, QB-Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech
Even those Kizer will make his first career start on Saturday, he’ll be throwing to one of the top receivers in the country, Will Fuller.

Matt Davis, QB-SMU at TCU
The TCU defense has been decimated by injuries and Davis should find a way to lead a handful of scoring drives this weekend.

Dane Evans, QB-Tulsa @ Oklahoma
Tulsa will likely be playing from behind most of the game, which means Evans will be taking to the air often, making him a nice fantasy option as a QB2.

D’Andre Ferby, RB-Western Kentucky @ Indiana
Ferby steps in for the injured Leon Allen, who was lost for the season due to a knee injury, and faces an Indiana defense that is giving up nearly 35 points per game.

Dare Ogunbowale & Taiwan Deal, RBs-Wisconsin vs Troy
It’s very unlikely that the Badgers will pass for another four touchdowns, which makes the duo of Ogunbowale and Deal a nice fantasy play in Week 3.
Madre London & LJ Scott, RBs Michigan State vs Air Force
We’re not sure that these two are separated by much and both should receive a healthy amount of touches this weekend at home against Air Force.

Darian Green, RB-Ball State @ Eastern Michigan
Green has had a nice start to the 2015 season by accounting for 244 yards and five touchdowns in two games.  This weekend, the sophomore back has another favorable matchup with a road game at Eastern Michigan.

Ito Smith, RB-Southern Miss @ Texas State
Smith is averaging 11.3 yards per rush, but has only had 18 attempts through two games.  Expect the sophomore back to get 15-plus touches this weekend in what figures to be a high-scoring game at Texas State.

Peyton Barber, RB-Auburn @ LSU
Barber has put the team on his back for two consecutive weeks and he’ll likely have his number called early and often at LSU Saturday afternoon.

Canaan Severin, WR-Virginia vs William & Mary
Severin has hauled in 16 passes for 211 yards so far this season and he has a good chance of finding the endzone this weekend with a favorable matchup against William & Mary.

Jeremy Johnson, QB-Auburn at LSU
After throwing five interceptions in the first two games of the season, Johnson seems to be the offense’s Achilles heel, so expect a heavy dose of the Auburn running game Saturday afternoon.

Drew Hare, QB-Northern Illinois at Ohio State
Hare has thrown for more than 350 yards in each of the Huskies’ first two games of 2015, but a step up in competition could limit his production and the ability to find WR Kenny Golladay on a consistent basis.
Storm Barrs-Woods, RB-Oregon State v San Jose State
There seems to be a lingering health issue surrounding Barrs-Woods, so until we know he’s close to 100% health, teammate Chris Brown is a better option at running back.

Johnathan Gray, RB-Texas vs Cal
Through two games, Gray has rushed for 57 yards on 17 carries and we wouldn’t be surprised if some fantasy owners have already cut bait.

Myles Gaskin, RB-Washington v Utah State
Remember what we wrote last week about players that have a breakout game against inferior competition.  Utah RB Devontae Booker ran for 120 yards against Utah State last week, but it took him 31 carries to get there and we don’t see Gaskin receiving that many carries.

Jaylen Walton, RB-Ole Miss at Alabama
Walton should finally get extensive playing time in the Rebels’ first conference game of the season, but we never like to push the envelope with a running back against an Alabama defense in Tuscaloosa.

Jon Hilliman, RB-Boston College vs Florida State
Hilliman has only rushed for 72 yards after two games against very weak competition, while teammate Tyler Rouse has gained 117 yards and scored five touchdowns with five fewer carries.

Jacobi Owens, RB-Air Force at Michigan State
Owens gained 85 yards on eleven carries last week against San Jose State, but the Falcons may have trouble finding offense at Michigan State without starting quarterback Nate Romine, who is out with a knee injury.
