This week’s Waiver Wire report is short and sweet, but remember to check our Emergency Starters on Thursday for additional names. A couple of players on this week’s list could have been claimed last week, per our recommendations in Emergency Starters—Week 6.
Craig Harrsion, QB-Utah State
Starter Chuckie Keeton has been lost for the season with a torn ACL and fantasy owners may be limited on available quarterbacks in their respective leagues.
Davis Webb, QB-Texas Tech
Starter Baker Mayfield left Saturday’s game after twisting his knee, so fantasy owners may want to take a flier on Webb in case the injury keeps Mayfield on the sidelines for a significant amount of time.
Paul Perkins, RB-UCLA
Starter Jordan James has already been ruled out for Saturday’s contest against Cal and Perkins was solid in relief when James went down in the game against Utah, finishing with 92 yards on 16 carries.
Kendall Brock, RB-Nevada
Brock was listed in our Emergency Starters on Thursday. After his 24-107-3 performance Friday night, it’s time to add the junior running back to your roster if he is still available in your league.
Traylon Shead, RB-SMU
Shead returned from an injury that sidelined him for four weeks and rushed for 69 yards on 15 carries against Rutgers on Saturday.
Marteze Waller, RB-Fresno State
Waller seems to have taken over as the lead back in the Bulldogs offense, as he has rushed for 252 yards and four touchdowns the past two games.
Chris Conley, WR-Georgia
Justin Scott-Wesley has been lost for the season with a torn ACL and Michael Bennett will miss at least one game due to injury. Conley may be the next-best fantasy option at receiver for the Bulldogs, as he has caught five passes and a touchdown in three straight games.
Da’Ron Brown, WR-Northern Illinois
Brown, another player we identified as an Emergency Starter last week, has caught at least one touchdown in four of the Huskies first five games this season.
Players we listed on our Waiver Wire last week that paid dividends in Week 5:
