There were a ton of monster stat lines this past week in college football. Hopefully, some if the following players fly under the radar in your upcoming waiver wire.
Ross Metheny, QB-South Alabama
Metheny is now producing with consistency, as he has topped 200 yards passing in three straight games and has rushed for a score in five straight.
Maty Mauk, QB-Missouri
Mauk held his own against the Gators on Saturday, throwing for 295 yards and running for a score. If fantasy owners are in need of another quarterback, they can do a lot worse than Mauk.
Kelvin Taylor, RB-Florida
Slowly, but surely, Taylor seems to be taking over the lead running back role in the Gators offense. In two games at LSU and Missouri, Taylor has combined for 126 rushing yards on 22 carries.
Jarrod Lawson, RB-San Jose State
Lawson has rushed for 187 yards and added another 103 receiving yards, while scoring three touchdowns in the Spartans previous two games.
Jerron Seymour, RB-Vanderbilt
The sophomore back leads the team in rushing attempts, yards, and touchdowns. He has scored a touchdown in six of Vandy’s seven games this season and has at least 12 carries in four straight games.
Tyler Winston, WR-San Jose State
Winston has emerged in Noel Grigsby’s absence by catching 14 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns in the last two games.
Kapri Bibbs, RB-Colorado State
Bibbs ran for 201 yards and three scores against Wyoming on Saturday, and he now leads the team in rushing attempts (94), yards (630), and touchdowns (9).
Kareem Hunt, RB-Toledo
Starting running back David Fluellen left early in the fourth quarter with an apparent back injury against Navy and his availability for next week’s game is uncertain. Hunt was spectacular in relief, finishing with 127 yards and two touchdowns against the Midshipmen.
Allen Hurns, WR-Miami
Hurns won’t change the balance of your league, but if you need some consistency at the receiver position, the senior wideout has gone over 80 yards in four straight games.
